THE AIM AND OBJECTIVES OF OUR ORGANISATION

To promote for the benefit of the public and in particular minority Sri Lankan Asian Community Groups our purposes include:

  1.  The relief of poverty by working with the socially excluded our community people in England and Wales and in Sri Lanka by:
    • raising fund from and within the community and providing financial relief to the needy people of the community including victims of natural or other kinds of disaster as per the policy of the organisation;
    • collecting and distributing the items such as furniture, clothing, and food to our needy people,
    • providing of educational facilities such as the books, tuition, or other expenses connected with vocational training, English language, literacy, numerical or technical skills.

 

2.  Developing the capacity of community people in sports such as football, athletics within our community.

The promotion of social inclusion for the public benefit by working with the socially excluded Community people in England and Wales and Sri Lanka by;

    • Providing volunteers support to local Community network groups that encourage and enable members of the community to participate more effectively within their community and with wider society.
    • Promoting volunteering work within our community
    • Increasing co-ordinating, opportunities for members of the community to engage with the Statutory and voluntary service providers.
    • Enabling service providers to adapt services to better our community.
    • Promoting culture by hosting social and cultural events such as New Year, festivals celebrations and food festival time to time as decided by the executive committee.
